FIFA 18 was released on 29th September 2017 across PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Android, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. As you can imagine, providing the artwork and localisation for each edition of Fifa released across 7 different platforms and 28 territories worldwide is no small task. The three editions are the Standard Edition, Ronaldo Edition and Icon Edition.
Unique club themed assets were created for several European languages including the UK Premier League Championship, League 1 and League 2.
Ultimate Team, where players get to create the team of their dreams, has arguably become bigger than multi million pound club transfers of the summer. We created the in-game for the FIFA Ultimate Team Guide to fulfil the gamer’s desire for victory on the pitch.
The point tokens were designed by our CGI studio and are used online, in-game and on promotions throughout the year. Our vision the gaming currency was well received away from the traditional coin based system.
Producing all the artwork for FIFA each year requires a lot of talent and teams to get involved in the project to ensure it not only meets our quality standards, but also leaves EA happy with the final result.
